Hit and Run Driver Kills Man & Critically Injures Another in San Bernardino – Manhunt Underway

San Bernardino Car hit bicycle riders and flees scene.  The 19 year old, Thomas Joseph Meeks, was traveling on his bicycle with his younger brother when he was struck and killed by a hit and run driver in San Bernardino.  Meeks and his brother were bicycling on 40th street when he was struck a vehicle traveling the same direction, according to a San Bernardino Police Department statement.   Meeks was pronounced dead at the scene and his younger brother was critically injured and taken to Loma Linda University Medical Center.

According to witnesses of the car hitting bicycle accident, the vehicle that fled the scene was a white 2000 or older Pontiac or Chrysler car.  Authorities said the vehicle should have front-end damage around the license plate area and possibly the windshield.
