Buyer Beware!!!

Attorneys who handle personal injury cases are often referred to by the derogatory term “ambulance chaser.” The term comes from the unfortunate realization that some attorneys, or there representatives, were, and still are, directly soliciting you at the scene of the accident, in the ambulance, in the hospital or even in your own home. This practice is illegal and you should be on the look-out for anyone who employs these practices in accident cases.

Attorneys and law firms who use these techniques don’t have your interest in mind. Their interest is in making their wallets fat. Don’t get me wrong, all lawyers are attempting to operate profitable businesses, but your lawyer should not be doing so at the expense of their professional obligations.

We have always been of the belief that the only way to obtain the maximum recovery for our clients is to actually get to know our clients. Serious injuries, whether they be from auto accidents or from other negligent conduct, are serious events often times leaving the victim permanently damaged both physically and mentally. How is an attorney to understand and thereby covey to a jury your pain if they have 500 files, wouldn’t know your name if he or she saw you on the street and are spending the majority of their time chasing ambulances rather then working on your case? The short answer: they can’t.

When you have been injured in a serious accident a portion of your life has been stripped from you. Under the law, victims are entitled to the necessary compensation to make you whole again When choosing an attorney make sure you pick with will not only be your advocate but also your partner through these difficult times.
